King Oyo, who took Tooro’s throne as a child, has died in Uganda.

What happened
King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom died aged 34, the kingdom’s prime minister announced. He had ruled since his father’s death in 1995. Uganda is a republic, but its traditional kingdoms retain cultural and social influence while holding little formal political power.
