NASA launches Roman Space Telescope
NASA’s Roman telescope has begun its journey to survey the universe on a wider scale.

What happened
NASA launched the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope from Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy. The observatory is heading to an observing point about one million miles from Earth. Its planned surveys will study dark energy, dark matter, planets, galaxies and exploding stars.
