EU tightens rules for ChatGPT, Reddit and Roblox
ChatGPT becomes the first AI chatbot placed under the EU’s strictest platform rules.

The European Commission designated ChatGPT a very large online search engine and Reddit and Roblox very large online platforms under the Digital Services Act. Each reported more than 45 million average monthly EU users. The rules require risk assessments, risk reduction measures, transparency duties and additional oversight.
