Foreign, defence and military leaders from Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan held the first committee meeting under their Mecca defence agreement in Istanbul. They named the grouping the Mecca Defence Alliance, agreed to create its secretariat in Riyadh, and set priorities including interoperability, defence production and research.
